Iva Bekic

Iva completed her Bachelor degree in Occupational Therapy in 2007 at the University of Applied Health studies in Zagreb, Croatia and has extensive experience in the treatment and assessment of children, adolescents and adults with a variety of conditions. Iva is specialized in Paediatrics since 2008. Working with a broad range of disabilities including sensory processing difficulties, autism, dyspraxia (developmental coordination disorder), cerebral palsy, progressive conditions, learning disabilities and other developmental delays. 

Iva holds postgraduate training in Sensory Integration Ayres Therapy SIAT® from Gesellschaft für Sensorische Integration (GSID) Jean Ayres München and Ayres Sensory Integration Certification Program ASI® . 

Iva is trained in a range of complementary approaches including Learn to Play, Cognitive orientation to daily occupational performance (CO-OP), Movement Analysis & Education Strategies (MAES Therapy) etc. Iva is also trained in PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) – form of augmentative/alternative communication intervention for individuals with autism spectrum disorder and related developmental disabilities. Iva is registered with the Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC).
