Sallyann specialises in working with children and adolescents with special educational or complex needs. She has worked across nurseries, clinics, schools; mainstream and specialist and home settings. Sallyann also has dysphagia training and has worked with children who have difficulty with eating, drinking and swallowing (EDS) disorders.
She is passionate about working alongside other professionals i.e. occupational therapists, physiotherapists, school staff, as well as families, in order to fulfil the child's needs and meet their goals. Sallyann has experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down's Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and Global Developmental and Learning Difficulties. She provides intervention including PECS, Intensive Interaction, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), EDS, specific and universal language programmes; individual or groups, and working within the SCERTS framework.
She enjoys working as part of a team and alongside families and schools to incorporate and implement individual and specific therapy programmes to meet each child's needs. Sallyann can provide in depth assessments and reports and has experience contributing to Education Health Care Plans (EHCP).
